Wilson Airport Office Block

This proposal for an office block in Nairobi is to act as an addition to an existing building on site. The proposed building has two basements and ground + four floors. The basement parking uses split levels to achieve a very high efficiency.

Due to the orientation of the building, we designed it around an atrium which is open on one side to allow for lighting and views.

The areas with glass facades are designed to optimize modules and material usage. The use of a double-glazed unit with solar glass reduces glare and heat gain into the interior. The patterned glass will be achieved through a ceramic frit that is bonded onto the glass and reduces the cost of a separate screen structure.
