When we were approached to design the mortuary for the Nanyuki Cottage Hospital, we advised the client to first carry out a masterplan for the site. This enabled us to project future expansion for the facility for the next 50 years in several phases.

With the masterplan we were able to identify the ideal location for the mortuary and funeral home. We developed the brief with the client to allow for a more refined design. The highest international standards were followed to the letter including workflow efficiencies and biosafety.

We sited the building in a calming and serene surrounding intentionally worked around existing trees and greenery.
